Arjan Roskam owner and founder of Green House Seeds has been acclaimed The King of Cannabis for his amazing record of cannabis awards won throughout his career. Winner of many international awards, forty High Time Cannabis cups, seventeen Highlife cups, and many more private awards in many countries.
Arjan started collecting cannabis strains from all
over the world 25 years ago. In 1985 Arjan
started growing exotic strains gifted to him from
friends.
Arjan also hunted for cannabis strains from trips
to Thailand, Napal and other countries in South
East Asia. Green House Seed company award
winning genetics are the result of years of intensive breeding of these strains and many others. Arjan decided to open his own coffeeshop
The Green House, which was founded on
Tolstraat street in Amsterdam in 1992. One year after opening his first coffeeshop in Amsterdam, Arjan entered Green House Seeds in the 6th
High Times cannabis cup and he won first place
overall cannabis cup.
The next year in 1994 Arjan won almost every single cup there was to win at the High Times cannabis cup. In 1995 High Times put him on the
front cover of their magazine. This led to cannabis
smokers and celebrities from all over the world to
come visit Green House and sample the worlds
best cannabis. Arjan's vision for the future has
always been to achieve cannabis normalization
around the world and to promote positive cannabis culture to the mainstream media.
Since opening the first Green House coffeeshop
Arjan has established an empire of cannabis businesses, with four Green House coffeeshops,
Green House Seed company, Strain Hunters and
and several other cannabis related businesses.
Arjan has built the world's most successful cannabis seed bank and award-winning cannabis
company. He is considered to be one of the most
important figures in the cannabis industry. Arjan
continues to be at the forefront of the fight for cannabis legalization around the world.
