Sam started breeding cannabis on a large-scale combining the local cannabis varieties and the cannabis seeds he collected on his travels. Sam and the Haze brothers also known as "G" the creator of the Haze strain founded Sacred Seeds in 1976 to produce cannabis seeds and develop new strains for commercial growers. Sam was arrested in 1984 for cultivating cannabis, he was put in jail and after a month he was released. Sam wanted to relocate to Amsterdam where cannabis was legal to grow for cannabis seeds.

Before leaving Sam went to see a good friend

Mel Frank to acquirer some of the cannabis strains Mel had created. Sam recieved Afghan #1

and Durban poison from Mel Frank. Sam took his cannabis seeds and the cannabis seeds he collected from some friends than Sam changed his name from David Watson to Sam Selenzy and moved to Amsterdam in 1985. Sam started Cultivators Choice a wholesale cannabis seed company. Sam sold his cannabis seeds to the Seed Bank, Super Sativa Seed Club and Sensi Seeds. These cannabis seed companies would sell and distribute Sams cannabis seeds along with their own cannabis seeds throughout the world.

David Paul Watson AKA Skunkman Sam passed away on January 27, 2025. The cannabis community lost one of the greatest pioneers of our time. Without David Paul Watsons lifelong contribution to refine cannabis genetics the cannabis we all enjoy today would not be the same. Thank you Skunkman Sam and God bless.
